Sunshine On My Face

I want some sunshine on my face,
And the breeze upon my back,
To rearrange this rented space,
The discipline I lack.
I'm told to watch the evening news,
Observe events around me,
Polish off my dusty shoes,
Consider new friends to surround me.
Maybe get some exercise,
A hair-cut and a shave,
Get my batteries re-energized,
And leave my urban cave.
There's nothing like medication,
When you're feeling a disgrace,
To get that breeze upon your back,
The sunshine in your face.
